400 George Street Fitout.

400 George Street Fitout.

NGNU is supporting Telstra with the delivery of its main workplace fitout at 400 George Street, Sydney. The project covers Levels 3–7 and includes new office spaces, meeting rooms, collaborative zones, and integrated services. Our role includes project management, stakeholder coordination, and oversight of design and delivery to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient outcomes.

This program forms part of Telstra’s broader workplace transformation strategy, creating modern, flexible, and sustainable spaces for staff.

The challenge.

Delivering a large-scale fitout in a fully occupied CBD tower presents challenges around staging, access, and safety. The project involves coordinating multiple trades, managing long-lead procurement, and sequencing activities to minimise disruption to Telstra’s live operations. Sustainability has also been a key focus, requiring the reuse of workstations, furniture, and fittings, along with close coordination of approvals and compliance obligations. The project must deliver high-quality finishes while balancing program efficiency, tenant requirements, and budget constraints.

How we delivered success.

NGNU ensures program momentum through disciplined governance and proactive stakeholder engagement. The reuse of workstations and furniture significantly reduces cost and environmental impact, maximising sustainability credentials. Through clear reporting, staged delivery, and contractor coordination, NGNU supports the successful creation of a modern workplace for Telstra that reflects both brand identity and operational needs. Additional social value has been achieved through charitable donations of surplus furniture, reinforcing NGNU’s commitment to community outcomes alongside project delivery.
